Glint Archive ("we", "our", or "us") is dedicated to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, store, and safeguard your information when you use the Glint Archive Chrome Extension and its associated private web portal.
1. Information We Collect
Glint Archive is a curation tool designed to help you organize and save content from social media platforms. We collect:
- Curation Content: The text snippets, images, platform metadata, tags, and personal notes that you explicitly choose to capture using the Glint extension.
- Source URLs: The web addresses of the pages or posts you choose to save.
- Account Identifiers: Your self-selected Glint Username and API/Portal password.
2. How Your Data is Stored
Your curated data is stored in two locations:
- Locally: Within your web browser's secure local storage ('chrome.storage.local').
- Your Private Cloud Database: Synchronized securely to a Cloudflare D1 database and R2 storage instance dedicated to your user ID. We use HTTPS encryption for all transmissions.
3. Third-Party Integrations (OAuth)
Glint Archive offers optional features to import your saved content from third-party services like Pinterest and YouTube:
- Authentication: If you connect Pinterest or YouTube, you are redirected to authenticate directly with those services. We never see or store your primary passwords.
- Access Tokens: We receive and securely store temporary OAuth access tokens in your private database. These are used solely to fetch your saved pins or uploaded videos for import.
- Data Limit: We only import the specific items you select in the preview screen. We do not transmit or share this data with any third party.
4. Data Sharing and Monetization
We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal data or curated bookmarks with any third party. Your curated archive is entirely private and belongs solely to you.
5. User Control and Data Deletion
You have full control over your archive. You can:
- Export your captured items in HTML, plain text, or CSV format at any time.
- Modify or delete individual curated captures.
- Wipe your entire database clear at any time directly through the extension's side panel or the settings page.
